If you think about building a house then you have to design, get your paperwork in order then buy materials, only after that you can go ahead and start building. Web development works in a similar way. Websites need to be designed, built, and finally tested. The development process is often times the most expensive part, due to the skill required and lack of good developers. Good developers can cost fortunes (sometimes).

What is CMS and how can it benefit my website/wallet?
CMS or content management system is a database for your products and/or services that you are offering. So let's say that you are the owner of a nice hair salon and you have multiple services and locations. We can build a CMS, which can generate pages or blocks on your websites that output the information given to the CMS.

Okay, so let's say that you have a new location opening next week with some of your services on offer. You can create a new location "profile" in your CMS, fill out the fields we have made for you, and bazinga!

Alright, alright, so what's it going to cost?
So when it comes to a customized project, it's hard to say.
I know, you were expecting more from that. But we go by time allocation. Let's say you have a small business and all you need the website for is SEO, lead generation and a small landing page, then these kinds of projects go anywhere from 1000€ to 1800€.
If we are looking for something a little more demanding such as booking systems, multiple integrations and automatization of multiple processes, then we are looking at 2000€ to 3000€.
Let's say that you are the owner of a larger company and the following: a large website, lead generation, competitive SEO, complex CMS solutions and CRM integration. We've got you covered, this package starts at 5000€
See, it all depends on the demands of the customer. The more technical demands there are the more challenging it is for the designer to make it look sleek and sexy.
Nice, what about social media upkeep?
Social media is a very important tool for small businesses. Imagine, you've just made the sleekest website in your field, but now you need people to visit it. Using social media in the right way can be the difference between life and death. Not really. But I like to think that way.
Social media can establish a brand and image, and don't you want to be the guy that comes to mind when the customer thinks about your field? Being the go-to service provider is a big step in the right direction.
What is good practice and the best package for me?
I recommend that our customers post at least weekly, a couple of times a week is optimal. What you post is important and how you present the information is even more important. No one really wants to read bland text on Facebook. That is why we offer branded images and an appeal to your posts. So, let's say that you want 4 posts per month (1 per week). This package will cost around 180-220€/month depending on the content you want us to produce.

I have been working with websites for over 2 years now, using only a handful of tools. I have become very familiar with the software that I use and in turn (not to brag) I am very fast. I pass these time savings down to the customer.

Our hourly rate is almost the same as some of the largest agencies in Finland. Because we only charge for the work done, we manage to keep the project price lower than our competition. Using tools such as CMS, we manage to save hours.
In-house production for the win!
Many large agencies partner up with freelancers, outsourcing their projects. We do not believe in this, if you come to Orion, you should be getting Orion work. We keep our development within our team, in our business model, this is the most cost-effective thing to do. We also believe in transparency.
